My Introductory Blog

This is my first Blog and I hope to keep it up just as a record of the little and big occurances in my and my family's life.

Love story.

On July 17, 2008 I was in a band playing one of my first shows at The Varsity in Baton Rouge. Little did I know, I would meet the love of my life that night. After my band played we got to drinking of course. I literally saw a cute guy, told my friend Kristine, "I want that," and that was the beginning. She got him to come talk to me by talking to his brother. He finally came to talk to me, and we never stopped talking from that day. I know, I know...not the most perfect love story to meet in a bar, but our love story non the less. He was cute and charming. It took us a while to go on a first date, August 27th to be exact, but it was the most perfect first date, that I will never forget. He picked me up and wouldn't tell me where we were going. He took me on a ride and we talked and  talked and talked till we arrived at the Hard Rock Cafe in Biloxi. After a great dinner he took me to the beach. I was dark and could see all the beautiful stars. I know, taken from a movie right? HaHa...well to make it even more unbelievable, in that beautiful star filled night with the sound of the waves hitting the sand, we had our first kiss. It was the most perfect moment of my life.

Where it all began

Today we are a little further down the road. Today my name is Ashleigh P. Comeaux. The 'P' stands for Prince, that being my maiden name, because a year to the day that we met, July 17, 2009, I married my best friend, Jacob Comeaux. They say girls want to marry their Daddy...Well little did I know at the time, Jacob would be the epitome of Doyle J, my Daddy. He is everything I could have ever wanted and didn't know I wanted. He is the absolute sweetest, most generous, gentle man i have ever met. He is my love and my best friend. Even better, he is the most amazing Daddy! I love him and cannot picture my life any other way. The day I met him my life was forever changed.

Well our story continues. Weeks before our first anniversary. Our first bundle of joy entered our lives.

The most beautiful, sweetest, precious baby girl I've ever laid my eyes on. I still can't believe God blessed us with such a beautiful baby. And I still can't believe he blessed me with such a wonderful husband and family.

Today, I am 23 weeks pregnant with our second child. Though unexpected, it is a complete blessing that my children will be able to grow up so close together. I think it will be a blast. Well, we wanted to make things a little fun this time in finding out sweet pea, aka baby C's, gender. So at the gender ultrasound, I wasn't allowed to peek, and the doctor wrote what baby C was down and sealed it in an envelope and was then given to my friend Meghan who then made some special cupcakes and filled the center with a secret color. We had a gender reveal party and let Ryleigh take the first bite to reveal what baby C was.

it's a.....

GIRL!!!!!

There was no doubt in my mind that baby C was a BOY. Yeah that's right, I was wrong again. I got over my sadness of not getting to buy little collared shirts and ties with cute sweater vests...haha...but I soon thought of how awesome I don't have to buy much of anything! Again, such a blessing! Though I am busting at the seams to tell, Jacob and I have decided to keep sweet peas name a secret until the big D-day, which at the moment is a planned caesarean section scheduled for April 24, 2012.

I can't wait to meet her!!! <3

Last thing, I promise. This year my hubby, Ryleigh, my mom, my dad, and I got the chance to go to Disney World for Christmas, so I'll keep it short. It was beautiful, exciting, wonderful and exhausting. But we will try to do it again when baby C is Ryleigh's age. Believe me FREE for a kid is better. But seeing her face light up through it all was worth EVERY penny. I don't care what anyone says, she was not too young. She was the perfect age to enjoy all the shows and parades. It was great and she was great.

Smiles :)

As of today, December 29, 2011, I am jobless because magically positions are filled when my pregnancy is revealed. So I am a house mommy, and I am loving it. In 2012 I will be looking forward to graduation in the summer, getting a big girl job and of course the arrival of our little sweet pea in April. 2012 is going to be full of AWESOMENESS!!!!

Well that's all I have for now. See ya next year ;)

Love and God bless
